This Eco-friendly Puerto Princesa resort is Astoria Hotels and Resorts’ latest addition to its growing portfolio of luxury leisure properties (Ortigas, Boracay, and Bohol).

Situated on a five (5) hectare mango orchard, Astoria paid special attention to the area’s natural features and geography. A retention pond was built to contain the overflow from a nearby creek and this pond is used both for recreation (fishing) as well as a source of water for irrigating the Mango trees. A modern Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) was also designed to recycle the waste water.

In keeping the natural resources of Palawan pristine, green building materials, practices and methods were strictly adapted for this project.

The architecture of Astoria Palawan can be best described as rustic/modern. It uses sustainable building materials combined with raw concrete that was utilized for the structural components, as well as for the interior partition walls. These are creatively combined with stones found in the area, creating a very natural feel and allows its guests to experience an ambiance that reflects the charming unspoiled lifestyle espoused by Palaweños. The environmental design and materials used throughout the Puerto Princesa resort are meant to make guests of Astoria Palawan experience a unique sojourn that will be truly memorable.
